The files were easy to download.
The material was well organized.
I had a few questions and I received an immediate response by email.
Thanks for the information and the technical support.
We will use this material for our youth classes and perhaps supplement it with crafts, games, etc.
Dear ones, We are just now in the process of determining curriculum for our growing discipleship program for kids! Thank you for your addition to our options. For the season of Lent, we're focusing on the Lord's Prayer. More good things to come! Blessings, Linda Parry, Light of Christ Anglican Church
Thank you so much. I have been very excited but those lessons are very expensive. And I am acting as a volunteer at our church in sunday school. Please help me to get those lessons for free if it is possible.
The idea was so great! Both the toy one and the food one. I think it should have been labeled Family devotional Christmas kit. I think the parents didn’t get to really look at it before the treats/snacks were all eaten. I think if it was labeled as a family devotional the parents would be more likely to go through it with their kids. Just a thought.
We just finished off the "Is It Time Yet?" curriculum from Bethany Darwin and had such great feedback that I was eager to try out her Big Truth for the new year. We are one week in and the kids and volunteers are loving the material. It's so well organized, thoughtful for children at different stages/needs, fun for volunteers and theologically sound! The gospel is clearly taught each week without it feeling forced--Bethany helps the kids and adults see how all of the scripture teaches the same story...God is BIG & HOLY, we are SINNERS and Jesus is our RESCUER. I highly recommend you give this material a try in your ministry.
Edit with UPDATE: With customer support's help I was able to find the links I needed with all the attached lessons. DropBox will ensure that you have access to the files. It was tricky for a moment because the link I needed was hidden in the PDF I originally downloaded. All is well that ends well. I'm excited for 2024!
OP: After purchasing this amazing bundle I eagerly downloaded the attached file (A whopping 13MB). All it included were the themes for each week of the year, no lesson plans, craft ideas, nothing else. 37 pdf pages with the themes for the whole 2024 year. This just seems a little iffy... Did I not set up my account properly to access more material?
I'd be happy to amend this rating after a follow up with Customer/Support.
We started using is "Is it time yet?" with our kids when it came out 3 y ago. While they were small then. They all enjoyed it. Especially with the activities. It made it very visual for them to understand the story line of the Bible. Now using it again this year, after a year break, it is amazing to see how the kids connect in a different level. How they see the story come alive with the question "Is it time yet?" and how it guides us to great Bible discussions. Highly recommend this from 3y up (include the activities from the family guide with coloring and the clock and small pictures) and even for 12y and beyond. Then you can even go deeper and discuss it. Thank you Bethany Darwin for this great, beautiful, biblical and practical resource.
We loved this! I have a small church that meets in a one room rec center. We did this activity following our worship service. We started at 10:30ish we broke our kids into two groups and did 6 stations, then we all had a pancake breakfast together than ran 6 more stations. We even had a photo booth. The 12 stations we chose were easy to put together and the kids loved them. All the volunteers really loved the message we shared along the way. I hope we can find a lent/easter one like it. Thanks.
Thank you for sharing, our little group enjoyed it.
This will be a fun way to do the Christmas story especially with children who do not know the real Christmas story
I love all the free resources y'all do an amazing job and the kids always have a wonderful time
I loved this Christmas story in a bag. I like the choices you gave. I prefer the nonfood version but both ideas are great
